Since 2013, SPS works at the monitoring of Production Activity that are located in the Protected Marine Area of Tavolara and Punta Coda Cavallo.
Since 2013 SPS has dealt with these activities:
- Analyze the dynamics of the dive centers;

- Analyze the tourist dynamics and the trends that affecting the territory.
In 2014 have been introduced several new products and innovations:
- The analysis of the dynamics of dive centers has been enriched with new data: the nationality of the tourist. Also according to the data provided by the dive centers have been estimated the nautical mile covered and the environmental impact based on the CO2 produced.
- The analysis of the anthropic pressure of yachtsmen has been enriched with new data: the deep-water harbor used for the mooring in order to analyze the environmental impact.
- The data collected about the number of boats have been enriched with new data: the yachtsmen behavior. For this research has been used the interview.
- During the project, the passengers movements have been analyzed in order to estimate the anthropic pressure on the island.

- The business trends about the renting and leasing of board have been monitored more precisely
- The data collection questionnaire of the Infopoint have been changed in order to detect the user typology who use this service
The monitoring project highlight the potential problems and evaluates the environmental impacts based on the anthropic pressure.
Thanks to the results of this research the Management of the Protected Marine Area will upgrade their regulation in order to prevent the impoverishment of the environmental resource.
In addition, the interviews will allow to upgrade the socio-economic plan of the park and understand the level of satisfaction of the local tourism.
